Purple Haze

Purple Haze....Dani is playing her second season in the under 14 girls division. The team did great. Purple Haze finished in 1st place for the regular season; the team never lost a game, tied one, and won 8. As a team, they scored an average of 4 goals a game and only gave up an average of 1 goal a game. Dani's coach likes to move the girls around each quarter, so Dani played left mid, goalie, center mid, and left forward. She loves to play on the left and has developed quite the left foot. Scoring goals for Dani has come much easier this season than in the past. Playing keeper for so many seasons in the past has given her quite the eye for the goal. Post season playoffs begin this Sat. with semis on Dec. 12th and finals on Dec. 15....and yes, we expect to be playing in the finals...

The team played in a local tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend and did well, finishing in 3rd place.

Amanda Gets Her Ears Pierced

Amanda has been wanting to get her ears pierced for a couple of months now but had to wait until the soccer season was over. During soccer games you can't wear any jewelry and you can't take earrings out of newly pierced ears for at least 4 weeks. So, with soccer ending last Saturday, we took Amanda on Sunday to get her ears pierced. She did great. We knew she would.

Pre-piercing.

Waiting to get her ears marked.

Team 7Up

Cassi's second season of soccer.....This fall I coached Cassi's soccer team (under 8, all girls division). The girls were great and we all had lots of fun. I am sure I was more tired than they were at the end. Below is a picture of the team at their end of season pizza party. We had pizza, played video games, and gave out trophies and medals to the girls.

Go Green Ninja Turtles!

This fall was Amanda's first season playing soccer. She played in the under 6 coed division and was coached by her Aunt Marla. Amanda did a lot of running around after the ball, socializing (on the field), and playing nurse whenever someone got hurt (whether the injured was from her team or the opposing team). I am not sure which part of the game was her favorite; actually playing, running thru the tunnel after the game, or the after game snack bags. But I guess it doesn't matter because she had a great time. She will be back next season for a second year in the same division.

Soccer!

Cassi and Amanda attended a UK soccer camp over the summer. The camp trainers are college aged players from England who come to the US and travel from city to city throughout the summer. It is a great way for the kids to learn some soccer skills and have a lot of fun. Below are pictures of the girls with their trainer (who Amanda had a crush on) and the girls on their last day of camp.

Sierra makes a friend....

Anyone who knows us, knows we spend our Saturdays on the soccer fields. All three of Sierra's sisters are playing soccer this season. This particular Saturday, Sierra decided to "chill out" with a new friend. One of the parent volunteers is holding Sierra and the nephew of another volunteer. Looks like she has taught him to love a "blankie"....

Sierra.....

Sierra has followed the footsteps of two of her three older sisters by getting attached to a "blankie". This time Kev and I were smarter about it and with the help of my mom, cut her favorite blanket in half. One half stays in her crib...nice and clean. Sierra gets to take the other half (which was cut into half) all around with her.

Welcome!

I have decided to join in on the "blogging" and create a blog site (I think that is what it is called...) to keep everyone updated with our very busy family. So check our site whenever you think about us and enjoy......
