Here is a picture of myself, Sierra, and Cassi watching David Beckham set up for a corner kick. Now the girls are fans of Beckham. Dani has been. She has his picture all over her wall, books, etc. I guess this is one "boyfriend" we can deal with....
Dani's team met up with the USC women's soccer team before pre-game.
Dani's team, her coaches, and Alexi Lalas (4th from left). Alexi Lalas is a former L.A. Galaxy player and U.S. men's national team player. He is currently President and General Manager of the L.A. Galaxy.
Last Thursday we, along with Dani's soccer team, went to watch the L.A. Galaxy's home opener. And yes, to watch David Beckham. Dani's team won a tournament earlier in the year which gave them the honor of participating in the Parade of Champions during pre-game. Our seats were great. We sat in the first 10 rows from one of the corners so when Beckham took a corner kick we were able to see him up close. The game was great, exciting, and we all had a great time.
During spring break we took the girls and Todd and Amanda (who were visiting from MI) to Venice Beach to check out the local scene. We had a great time walking down the boardwalk and people watching.
The girls played in the Pasadena Spring Classic this past weekend and placed second. During pool play they won 4-0 (Dani had a goal and an assist), 5-1 (Dani had a goal and 3 assists), and 4-0. They lost in the finals 0-1 due to a penalty kick (bad call) in the box.
